How Are Avon Public Schools Keeping Your Children Safe?

Learn more at a public information session Thursday night!

As the first anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting approaches and the state provides more funding for school security enhancements, student and staff safety is a prominent focus for many school districts and parents in Connecticut.

The Avon Board of Education's Communications Committee is offering a public information session Thursday night on school security.

Avon Superintendent Gary Mala and Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations John Spang will address how Avon schools are keeping your kids safe and talk about the latest security measures the district has taken over the past year and whether there will be further changes.
