Avon schools will open 90 minutes late Wednesday and morning kindergarten has been canceled as cleanup continues from Tuesday's messy storm.
The National Weather Service issued a statement early Wednesday warning of the danger of frozen, slippery roads and sidewalks as temperatures hover near freezing. The weather service also predicted the possibility of snow showers and freezing drizzle in the morning.
More snow is expected Friday. The weather service predicts that snow will start in the early morning and continue into the afternoon.
