Roaring Brook School Listens to Avon's Platt 'Roar'
Morgan Platt, 10, is, as Katy Perry's song says, a fighter, battling cancer while finding ways to inspire and have fun.
Last Friday, Avon cancer patient Morgan Platt, 10, showed her elementary school peers that there is no Roaring Brook School without a loud "roar."
The students watched what Morgan and Connecticut Children's Medical Center patients and staff had to say about fighting cancer in a music video of Katy Perry's popular song, "Roar." Platt came up with the idea to raise awareness about pediatric cancer.
About 200 kids were expected to attend.
