School Calendar: Avon Student Orientations Begin This Week

The first day of school is Sept. 4.

Avon students will start school after Labor Day this year, but orientations begin this week.

A year ago Wednesday, Avon students returned to school after .

First, fifth, seventh and ninth grade students will attend orientation on Friday.

New teachers had their orientation Aug. 22 to 24 and faculty has teacher work days scheduled from Aug. 29 to 31.

Staff will get Monday off for Labor Day and return Tuesday for the first day of school.
