Thompson Brook School Principal Accepts Job in Colchester

Thompson Brook School Principal Anne Watson will be leaving the Avon upper elementary school for a job in the Colchester school district.

Watson has accepted the job of Colchester Elementary School principal and signed the contract at a May 28 Colchester Board of Education meeting, according to meeting minutes posted on the district's website. 

The Avon Board of Education accepted her resignation at its June 18 meeting, the Hartford Courant reported. She is the third Avon administrator to leave Avon Public Schools this year.

Former Avon High School Principal Jason Beaudin left at the start of 2013 to become assistant superintendent in Guilford and Pine Grove School Principal Gail Dahling-Hench is leaving at the end of the school year to become assistant superintendent in Madison. 

Watson could not be reached for comment on Friday.
