PHOTOS: Thramann, Currier Among Avon Road Race Winners [Video]

We have photos and videos of the 5K, award ceremony and fun run, but we want to see yours too! Upload them to this gallery.

Stony Corners Circle may be a tough hill in the Avon Road Race, but hundreds of participants, from as young as 7 to adults (some pushing baby carriages), completed the race Sunday in support of the PTO.

Men's Results, Top Three

  1. Bill Thramann, 51, of Avon, 18:04.88
  2. Jeffrey McDermott, 28, of Avon, 18:16.48
  3. Andrew Schichman, 17, of Avon, 18:32.13

Women's Results, Top Three

  1. Mary-Lynn Currier, 48, of Burlington, 18:51.60
  2. Sara Larkin, 27, of Torrington, 19:55.79
  3. Olivia Zapatka, 13, of Avon, 20:48.96

Of the 271 runners, most were from the Farmington Valley, but there were also participants from other Connecticut towns like North Grosvenordal, Plainville, Torrington, Winsted, South Windsor, Naugatuck, East Hampton, Harwinton, Burlington, Wethersfield, Bethel, Bloomfield, Meriden, Cheshire, Windsor and Kensington. There were even a couple out of state runners from Massachusetts, Maryland and Alaska.

Avon Patch, The Granbys Patch and Naugatuck Patch editors, and couple other Patchers ran the 5K (and handed out water). Thank you to the road race committee for being so accommodating!

We snapped our own photos (when we weren't running, of course!), which we've uploaded here.

But we'd like to see yours too from the sidelines, so be sure to upload them to this gallery (and videos too if you have them).

We're looking for your Fun Run photos and videos too!

The Last Mile did the timing for the race and the results are posted on thelastmileracing.com.

Congratulations to all the runners and the Fun Run participants too.
