Lindsay Horbatuck signs contract after outstanding career at Bucknell University.

An Avon native has signed a contract to play professional basketball in Bulgaria, according to a release from her alma mater.

Lindsay Horbatuck, a 2013 graduate of Bucknell University, has signed to play with Haskovo 2012 in Bulgaria.

According to the release, Horbatuck led her team with 10.5 rebounds per game and averaged 7.7 points in her final campaign with the Bucknell Bison. She was reportedly known for her tenacity and rebounding on the court.

Her single-season rebounding total was second-highest in the program's history at 325 boards last winter. That average ranked 30th nationally. In her four-year college career, Horbatuck totaled 805 boards, ranking sixth all-time at Bucknell.

Horbatuck's awards included being named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team for her success in the classroom as an elementary education major and the John F. Zeller Award for outstanding contributions to Bison Athletics.
