Zaino Uses His Head in Avon Soccer's 3-0 Victory Over Ellington

Take a look at Bobby Zaino's second goal of the game in the first half.

At its home game under the lights against Ellington Tuesday, the Avon High School varsity boys soccer team wore green and blue as part of its cause to raise awareness about liver and colon cancer.

They played the game in honor of Colleen Martin, an Avon Middle School physical education teacher, who died last week of the types of cancer.

Avon won the game after holding the 3-0 lead it secured with about 17 minutes left on the clock for the first half.

Senior co-captain Bobby Zaino scored all three goals off of headers, according to a blog posted by the Avon Booster Club.
