You won't want to miss this party!!! Avon Day is September 24, 2011 with a rain date of September 25. The Avon Day committee has an exciting, fun filled celebration planned, so be sure to join us. Organizations and businesses wishing to reserve a booth or make a donation may contact Laurie Carlson at the public works department, 860-673-6151 or at lcarlson@town.avon.ct.us Donors may make their checks payable to the Town of Avon, collector of revenue and mail to 11 Arch Rd., Avon, CT 06001. Forms can be found on the website: www.town.avon.ct.us. Restaurants are also encouraged to participate and may reserve a booth by calling Nancy Anstey of the Farmington Valley Visitor's Association at 860-676-8878. Avon Day supports many local charities and non-profit organizations, which in turn, support residents through scholarships, grants and donations. Some of the funds also help to offset Avon Day operational expenses.
