First Selectman Mary Glassman, Pastor Woody Eddins, of the Simsbury United Methodist Church, and Ann Marie Potter of Bike Walk Simsbury, will dedicate the new Simsbury Bike Sculpture.

Local metal-artist Vicente Garcia constructed this work of art as a tribute to Simsbury's designation as the first Bicycle-Friendly Community in Connecticut.

Fundraising is on-going for the bike sculpture, which will be called "SimsburyBikes!" For donations of $100 or more, your name(s) - or your company name - will be engraved on a plaque that will be placed this summer next to the sculpture.

For more information, go to www.bikewalksimsbury.org

Take a ride by the bike sculpture, preferrably by bicycle, and enjoy this tribute to Simsbury's ongoing commitment to a bicycle culture.
