Places to Cool Off in Avon During Heat Wave

The town of Avon will be opening a cooling center on Tuesday at the Avon Senior Center.

It may be as hot as 97 degrees in Avon on Tuesday and 92 the next day, according to the National Weather Service.

Here is a guide to places to cool off in Avon and escape the high temperatures.

  • People were already going to the on Monday for water. On Tuesday, the town will open a cooling center there from 8 a.m. to about 8 p.m. That may be the case on Wednesday as well. The senior center is air-conditioned.
