It may look bright and sunny where you are right now but this is expected to change quickly as the day goes on.
A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 9 p.m. for Litchfield, Fairfield, Hartford, New Haven, Tolland and Windham counties, WFSB 3 television reports.
But a flash flood watch is in effect until midnight for Hartford and Tolland counties. Thunderstorms are likely and could produce heavy downpours between 2-4 inches of rain, WTNH News 8 reports.
This is all in advance of Hurricane Arthur, which may end up affecting Connecticut on Friday with rain showers and possible thunderstorms.
