No sooner had I come back to the house with a medium coffee and a doughnut than I remembered — the first Friday in June is an important day!

Customers get a free doughnut when they buy any beverage at participating Dunkin' Donuts on Friday.

Krispy Kreme

Well Connecticut, if you're traveling out of state on National Doughnut Day, you can stop by participating Krispy Kreme shops and get a free doughnut, no purchase necessary. 

But if you're going to be in the Nutmeg state, Krispy Kreme's offer does not extend to Connecticut.

The History
