Ugghh....

Have you ever had a child of yours puke into your hands? there's really no feeling like it, kind of like a warm bath of partially digested lunch meats, almost always some Spaghetti Ohs, although none had been consumed in recent memory... These are the memories, folks,... and although my oldest daughter is almost 21, I can vividly recall the morning when at about age 7, she had advised me that she'd not been feeling well.  All was fine until we'd taken that last sip of ginger-ale, waited for the customary swallow and accept, and soon received the "all clear" burp... Heading back into the kitchen to wash my hands again for what seemed to play out of the movie Ground Hog Day, I heard a sound come from within my child as I've never experienced.. An intense growl, bubbling from the depths of her body that shook my pictures from their nail holes, and left me with my head tilted, face contorted, and with hands clenched, still dripping with soapy water.... "Mom!?"  was all that she was able to muster as a rocket fueled spout of Niagara Falls erupted from her tiny body... Without any device of containment available, I did what most parents would do under such heroic conditions, I quickly sprung into action, and jumped into the air, hands open and formed a cup with my two hands and forearms and captured every warm chunky drop of my child's tummy bug, and managing not to trip over my own two feet, I ran to deliver the package neatly to the awaiting sink... Suffice to say, she felt much better, and I was considered to officially be a courageous, circus worthy contortionist, able to catch flying liquids with a single bound, and manage to live to tell the tale...She is in her last year of college now, but if you were to run into her on the street and ask her about the day her mom was super cool, she'd be happy to share the story.....
