Jan Brennan, Neighbor

I am passionate about books and poetry. Whenever I get a chance I am either reading or writing about something that moves me. When teaching my students at the Avon Middle School, I try to share my love of literature with them in as many ways as possible. One project I am very proud of is the annual poetry anthology our school publishes. The four volumes we've compiled thus far have included impressive poetry and artwork created by our students. This year's book, 260 Potatoes in an Egg Carton, includes some absolutely stunning poems of which I plan on sharing with you in this blog. I hope you will enjoy reading these gems as you take a peek inside the minds of 13 and 14 year olds!
