Bob was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and he's been a Cheshire resident since 1987. He is married to Pamela Averack, the father of Amanda Averack, and the stepfather of Brandon Cook and Austin Cook. His ongoing community activities include the Cheshire Food Drive (since 1997). Former positions in Cheshire include:  Democratic Town Committee (Secretary); Energy Commission; Cheshire Performing and Fine Arts Committee (Theater Subcommittee Chairman). Bob was also the co-Executive Producer for the Cheshire Youth Theater and Comedy 101 summer theater programs from 2007 through 2010, in addition to occasionally performing on-stage in various community theater productions. Finally, Bob has been an IT professional since 1978, and he is currently a Senior Enterprise Architect for Aetna in Hartford.
