Shops at Dale Corner Applies to Bring Moe's Southwest Grill to Avon

One of two applications to permit Class III restaurants at the Shops at Dale Corner in Avon would bring a popular burrito chain to the plaza.

Shops at Dale Corner, LLC is asking the Avon Planning and Zoning Commission to allow Moe's Southwest Grill to move into half of the former Strawberry Records store. The property owner has also applied to move sweetFrog Premium Frozen Yogurt into the other half of the space. The commission tabled both applications. 

The 365 West Main St. plaza also houses Cosi, Pier 1 Imports and Rite Aid. 

Moe's has 14 Connecticut locations, including one in Blue Back Square and another in Bristol. 

The project would include renovations to the parking lot, sidewalk and lighting.
