Puppy Kindergarten

Class runs for 6
weeks - 1 hour and 15 minutes per week.

For puppies at least
10 weeks old and no older than 4 months at start of class.

This class is an
introduction to basic skills such
as:

• name
  response
  
• come (foundation
  of teaching come)
  
• sit
  
• down
  
• stay
  
• watch me
  
• leave it
  
• walking on
  leash

The class format
is is more relaxed than the Elementary School for older dogs. Emphasis on proper
socialization and behavior issues such as mouthing, chewing, jumping, barking,
crating, potty training, appropriate play and exercise and problem
prevention.

  obstacle course to build puppy's confidence
  
• Interaction with
  new people, exposure to distractions, other puppies, sight and
  sounds

• Supervised play
  time

At the end of the
training course, I will administer the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test. Upon passing,
owners and their puppies may enroll in the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program.
One of the requirements to pass the test
is that you must attend all 6 classes.
